Molecular imprinting is a mature and appealing technology to obtain highly selective recognition sites created within polymeric network, having other important features such as robustness cost effectiveness. The applications of molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) are vast, but there continuous particular interest in their integration into sensing devices. MIPs possess remarkable properties terms selectivity low-cost tailored biomimetic elements. need improve disease diagnosis prevention by detecting pathogenic viruses biological targets at the nanoscale has led great advances MIPs. Despite still facing many challenges, approaches can provide rapid accurate virus thus be applied new materials. Following general overview MIP technology, key examples polymers, application MIP-based materials targets, detection presented here.
